Storytelling studio

We work with life stage brands and advocacy groups seeking to close the empathy gap. From visual storytelling to immersive design, we leverage various formats to cut through bias and limiting beliefs.

We’ll help you find the right words to share with your audience, and create intentional spaces that bring them together.

  • On the screen

Weaving carefully chosen words and imagery into content, websites and distinct journeys.

  • In the room

Perspective-shifting pop-up installations and events, along with physical mementos.

  • Intertwined

A narrative identity that filters through every interaction, internally and externally.

Founder story

The big pretender

Working in marketing for 20 years caused Krystle to devalue her sensitivity. It was not how you got ahead or communicated.

For 40+ hours a week, she turned into something she was not. Morphing became a routine, and it continued for two decades.

One day she decided to quit corporate, taking the leap to start Spark Road.

Little did she know that the corporate identity had clawed its way into her being.

She had forgotten her natural gifts and who she really was.

A woman rests her head on her hand, looking down, with a tangled scribble of thought above her, drawn in a single line.

It would take 2.5 years to find her way back.

A woman walks away along a ridge line, her dress moving in the wind, drawn in a single line.

The Spark Road you see before you is the evolution of the business. Only possible by stripping the founder of her pretend identity.

No longer a calculating corporate marketer, but an emotionally charged storyteller.

How we begin

Working together

We usually start with one project per new client. This can progress to a monthly retainer.

A new engagement looks like this:

  1. The first thing we do is dive into the psychological state of your audience. Whether they are processing a loss, feeling stuck or navigating a societal barrier, we treat this phase with absolute care. Together, we align on the emotional shift and action you'd like to guide them towards.

  2. We discuss ideas to ground a story in, and creative ways to bring it to life in the medium/s you have chosen. Then we get to work shaping and refining.

  3. This could be written word or finished artwork, spatial design specs and event sequencing, or a combination of things for bigger projects.
